Two days ago, on April 12th, we celebrated my mom's birthday.
Despite being physically apart in Tokyo, Japan, we sent our well wishes from Singapore. Our celebration featured grilled prawns and steak, accompanied by delightful wine and cheese.
We capped off the evening with comforting kimchi jjigae.
While we couldn't be together to raise a toast with champagne, we remain hopeful for the day when we can celebrate her birthday in person.
